Andrzej Mikulski

Organist, pianist, composer, impro-viser. In 2022, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Arts in the artistic discipline of Musical Arts at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Graduate of the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw at the Department of Piano, Harpsichord, and Organ under the supervision of Prof. Jarosław Malanowicz and Prof. Roman Szlaużys (classical piano under Prof. Hanna Jóźwicka). He learnt jazz piano under the direction of Włodzimierz PawIik,

 who was also a reviewer of his master's thesis. He also studied with Prof. Artur Dutkiewicz and Prof. Jarosław Wróblewski. In 2011, he completed the Chopin Univer-sity of Music Teacher Training Programme. He continued his music education on scholarship at the Lyon Music a Conservatory under the supervision of Prof. Yves Lafar-- gue (organ), Herve Billaut (classical piano), and Mario a Stanchev (jazz piano), where he was also titular organist 
of the Nativite-de-la-Sainte-Vierge de Villars-les-Dombes Church. Teacher at the Roman Padlewski Music School and the French school Lycee Francais de Varsovie in Warsaw He has participated in masterclasses led by Guy Bovet, Chris Bossert, Daniel Roth, Martin Schmed-ing, Józef Serafin and Philippe Lefebvre and Jean-Pierre Leguay (improvisation courses) as well as in the 'Live Act Masters' live electronic music course. Winner of the 2nd prize in the Sonata Competition at the Oskar Kolberg Music School in Warsaw (2001); winner of the 6th prize in the Archdiocesan Organ Competition in Cracow (2008); finalist of the All-Polish Solfeggio Competition in Warsaw (2008); semi-finalist of the Grand Prix Les Grande Orgues de Chartres competition (2012). 
      He has performed organ recitals in, e.g. the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourviere in Lyon (at the Les Heures d'Orgue de Fourviere festival, 2012), Cathedrale Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Arnoux in Gap (at the Les Mardis de l'Orgue festival, 2013, 2016), Cocathedrale Notre-Dame-de-l'An-nonciation in Bourg-en-Bresse (at the Les Mardis de l'Orgue festival, 2012, 2014, 2021), Basilique Notre-Dame de la Salette, Sanctuaire Notre-Dame in Laus, abbey in Boscodon, Temple de Protestant in Aix-en-Provence, Cathedrale Notre-Dame-du-Bourg in Digne-les-Bains, Cathedrale in Riez, Collegiale Notre-Dame d'Esperance in Montbrison, Collegiale Notre-Dame in Briancon, Saint Sauveur Church in Veynes, Saint Pierre le Vieux Church in Strasbourg, Notre-Dame de l'Assomption Church in Charbonnieres-Bains as well as in churches inVillars-les-Don:bes, Laragne-Monteglin, Cordeliers, Chateaurenard, Greoux-les-Bains, Robion, Aureuille, and Guillestre, St. Johannes Basilika in Berlin, St. Marien am Behnitz in Berlin-Spandau, Liebfrauenkirche in Leipzig-Lindenau, and St. Antonius Kirche in Trier.  

In Poland, he has performed in the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians in Rumia at the Summer Organ Con-certs (2011), in the Oliwa Cathedral as part of the organ presentation (2008, 2012), in the Church of the Holiest Saviour in Warsaw at the `W+4cz siq na organy' festival (2011), in the church in Czarne as part of the organ con-secration (2012), at the 17th International Music Festival `winoujskie Wieczory Organowe' (2015), in the Co-cathe-dral of St John the Baptist in Kamien Pomorski (2015); as part of the series: GrUneberg Concerts in Pkoty (2017), `131i2ej Bacha' in the Basilica of St Bridget in Gdańsk (2019); in the Church of St Bridegroom in Szczecin, in the Church of Our Lady of Ostra Brama in Szcze-cin, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Nieporqt, in the Church of Our Lady of Czqstochowa in Wo+omin, in the church of Our Lady Queen of Poland in Jabthnna, in the Church of St Michael the Archangel in Szczecin-Wielgowo, in the Cathedral of St Michael and Florian in Warsaw (2019), in the Church of St Anthony in Gdynia (2020), in the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pruszkow (2021), and in the Church of St Adalbert in Jelenia (2022). As an organist and pianist, he regularly performs recitals with his own solo programme, his own compo-sitions, and as an accompanist throughout Poland and in various countries of the world, such as France (Paris, Lyon, Lille, Cannes, Bourg-en-Bresse, Avignon, Sisteron),
